I can’t say enough good things about Galaxy Elevator’s work in our home.  They replaced a 30-year-old, broken dumbwaiter after explaining our options and costs, and the advantages and disadvantages of repair vs. replace (we opted for the latter, but without pressure from Galaxy.) They came when they said, they stuck to their price, they worked efficiently. carefully and neatly in our home.  They fit a new, custom dumbwaiter into the existing non-standard-size shaft and made it look as if it belongs there. And they were really nice guys to work with. Had several problems with my elevator and after several calls to service vendors, decided on Galaxy Elevator. The guys showed up as scheduled, made the assessment and provided a reasonable quote. All repairs were performed timely and they threw in a few extra service items for free.

I called Brian at Galaxy & I was given a very friendly & professional service. After she got my story about how there were at least 3 companies that came & looked at the problem already, only to be promised this that & be told “we’ll call you when we get the parts, don’t call us”. But Brian assured me they’ll try. She also tried to get me the soonest appointment despite it already being towards the end of the day. She called me back to give me an appointment the following day which was a pleasant surprise for me. The following morning, on time comes Chris who was very nice. After checking out everything, he found the problem & was able to fix our elevator right then & there, replacing 2 parts which he happened to have an extra one in his truck. And it worked!! Hallelujah, after almost a year, we finally had a working elevator. I was so happy & satisfied with Galaxy’s service that I would highly recommend them to anyone having problems with their residential elevator. Chris assured my husband that these elevators last a lifetime. He services a house with an elevator built in 1910 & still working well. Imagine that. One of the companies even recommended that we change the carriage for $20,000. The rest of course will be additional costs. Galaxy Elevator is FABULOUS!!!!

Chris Sales one of the owners of Galaxy Elevator previously worked for the company that installed my elevator.  When I subsequently discovered that Chris was starting his own company, I decided to go with him. I was tired of the constant rotation of different service people, impersonal service, and exorbitant prices with the prior company..  Enough was enough!!
The previous company had told me that I needed to replace  a hydraulic cylindar (jack seal) and had quoted me $3,172 for the job.  I was appalled and had put off making the repair.  I told Chris what they had quoted and he was also appalled.  Even knowing the higher figure from my previous company, he quoted me $1,355 for the identical job.  He and the other owner did the work in a couple of hours, and I have a perfectly running elevator AND saved $ 1,817.  I saved more than I spent!!!!
